About the author (1994)

Mark Curtis is the author of two recent bestselling books: "Unpeople: Britain's Secret Human Rights Abuses" and "Web of Deceit: Britain's Real Role in the World". He is a former Research Fellow at the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) and has written extensively on British and US foreign policies. He is currently a freelance journalist and regular commentator in the Guardian and other international media, including the "Independent, Znet" and "al-Ahram".
