Vanishing and Endangered Species
The Present title Vanishing and Endangered Species is written for both non science and science majors as an introduction to historical life science. Although it is likely that many students will have already taken an introductory life science, physical geology or earth science course, this background is not assumed. Accordingly, the book stands on its own and presents a comprehensive picture not only of earth s history but also of the geological forces that have shaped it. The book uses up-to-date examples to show how precise hypotheses may be formulated and tested experimentally. Special efforts have been made to explain ideas in non mathematical terms. The primary aim throughout has been clarity, simplicity and the high standard. The book will definitely prove to be a boon to teachers, students and research workers in the related field.
