About the author (2015)

Born within walking distance of the old Jaguar and Daimler factories in Coventry, Brian Long was heavily involved with JDHT for many years. Since moving to Japan, the link has continued, as he teaches Jaguar and Land Rover history (and how it fits in with British culture) as part of the dealer training programme for Jaguar Land Rover Japan.

Coming from an engineering background, Long has had around 60 books published in a writing career spanning two decades, with his work being translated into German, French and Japanese.

He currently lives in Chiba City with his wife, Miho, and their two children, Louis and Sophie-Mercedes. The family line-up is completed by an ex-racehorse – a bay Thoroughbred that has acquired the nickname ‘Bugatti’ at his stables.
