About the author (2006)

Theresa Breslin became a writer by accident. She was a traveling librarian, and was very annoyed about an injustice taking place in one of the towns she visited. She wrote a book about it with a young boy as the main character. It won an award and was filmed for television. And suddenly she was a writer!

Harriet Buckley is a very busy artist. After earning a master's degree in illustration at the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland, she has worked non-stop illustrating books, magazines, and comics. Harriet likes creating artwork digitally on computers, and has also animated numerous commercials and short films. She has even painted an "optical-illusion"-style mural for a private home in Holland.
