The book explains the science of self realization - the soul (athman) going from a baby to child to adult to old age and again to baby, but the stress is more on achieving self realization through nama sankeerthana. One will find a lot of repetition of ideas, the book being a compilation of articles written by Swami Prabhupada. The article on how science cannot attain completeness of knowledge deserves special mention. It has been written logically and makes you realize the limitations of the sensory organs. Overall, the book is a decent read. But I would recommend Ramakrishna - Vivekananda - Chinmayananda - Sandeep Chaithanya style of philosophy as it is more acceptable to someone educated in modern science.
