Exceptional prompt delivery.The book is very well interpreted from the Spanish version of Cocina Criolla and am looking forward to try some of the recipes.Very satisfied there was an English version and the availability of the product. Read full review

My mother gave me this book when I was younger, I LOVE IT! My mother didn't really cook traditional PR food, but I have all these wonderful recipes at my fingertips (THANK YOU) and use them OFTEN. I have flags all over the book on my favorite dishes and get plenty of raves on the dishes I make, and now know many of the recipes off the top of my head. ONE OF THE BEST GIFTS I'VE EVER RECEIVED!!!

About the author (1983)

Carmen Aboy Valldejuli expressed her hopes that, eventually, all readers may wend their way to Puerto Rico to sample these delicacies in the land of their origin. But, she was certain that the recipes in Puerto Rican Cookery would bring the flavor of the islands to your own table. Pelican also publishes the Spanish version of this book, Cocina Criolla, as well as the Spanish cookbook classic Juntos en la Cocina, written by Valldejuli and her husband, Luis F. Valldejuli. Valldejuli passed away in 2005.
