Thomas Arvin was a tobacco planter in Maryland between 1750-60. He and his sons were Revolutionary War veterans. One son, Elias (d. 1875) fought in the War of 1812. He and Catherine Tinsh were married and migrated to Kentucky in 1816. Descendants lived in Illinois, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana and elsewhere. |
