Teenage punk, self-taught musician, bandleader, session man, smoker, drinker, multi-millionaire, David Grohl has achieved a rare feat, a rock ‘n’ roll double crown having been a member of two hugely successful and influential bands – Nirvana and The Foo Fighters.

Loaded with candid interviews and hard truths about Grohl’s life in music, this is the first comprehensive biography of an icon whose career charts rock and roll’s rise and fall over the past two decades.

Detailing his drumming and touring with Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails and his battle over Nirvana’s legacy with Courtney Love, this is a no-holds-barred account of a career and life at the very top. Grohl's powerhouse drumming, anthemic riffing and melodic brilliance have proved both thrilling and enduring, and he remains one of rock's most respected figures.

Wow I have never seen so many mis quotes in my life. I am the fictional EL( Eric Landon not Larson) Seems everyone wanted to misquote and write me out of the book. I owned a small 8 track studio not a 24 track studio and the reason Reuben Radding chose the studio was the band had a very small budget and very little time. I do recall the phone call on a Thursday from Radding and the band came in that Friday, recorded and mixed the album by Monday it was off to the label and nothing was heard from anyone till almost 8 months later, I was shocked at the power and energy of the music and Dan K handing of over 12 guitars to tune and help produce tracks. As we got to laying vocals the band insisted on using a PZM microphone instead of a SM 58. The results didnt impress me but I wasnt gonna argue with the act since we had so little time. There wasnt a handy computer around to edit with so we had to deal with everything basically on the fly. The original tapes are owned by the label so there is no way to get them back and remix all those tracks.
