WASP of the Ferry Command gives the reader a comprehensive portrayal of the women pilots who ferried military aircraft for the U.S. Army Air Forces during the Second World War. Through her meticulous research, knowledge and obvious passion for the subject, Sarah Rickman's narrative provides an in-depth and historically accurate account of the formation of the WASP program, it's leaders, and experience, made all the more compelling through the use of oral histories, letters and personal interviews that allows the story to unfold from an authentic, first-hand 'seat of your pants flying' perspective.
