Well written for the amateur learner but the Chinese font size is far too small to allow an amateur to really come to grips with the structure and differences between characters Read full review

Thank you, thank you, Julie Sussman! As a former technical editor, I was putting kisses all over this book. I'm currently planning my first trip to China, but had planned to study only the Pinyin for my basic travel vocabulary. By accident, I found "I Can Read That" on Amazon, and the reviews convinced me to purchase it. Amazing but true: Chinese characters actually help in learning the Pinyin! The illustrations are superb. Thank you, Julie, for presenting this information with logic, clarity, and humor.
