This is a book that i believe should be placed on the shelf right next to The Diary of Ann Frank. It not only explains life as a Jewish citizen in that time but of the German citizen who hid them. The book is one that has made me weep with such sorrow. I have never actually felt so connected to a story such as this one. If I had owned this book, I would have read many more times. (I am a 15 year old girl in my first year of high school.) I would highly recommend that all students from grades 9 to 12 should read this book.
