The methods that Mr. Wilber writes about in this book really work. I used them in my garden in New England and my tomato plants and yield increased DRAMATICALLY! Several strangers and the mailman came into my yard to marvel at my plants, which reached more than 10ft tall and yielded more than 75 lb of tomatoes EACH PLANT (Mr. Wilbur would not be impressed with this as he routinely gets four times as much). His growing methods are all organic, too. The only drawback to this book is that it is not organized well. It is written as if you went to visit Mr. Wilber in his garden and he just started talking to you about his garden and his life. I found it very charming, but a little infuriating in terms of trying to understand step by step what to do. I ended up taking notes and reorganizing it into a list for myself.
Despite this drawback, I recommend getting this book. This is not the standard advice for growing tomatoes that you would get in any old gardening manual. He is truly a "tomato whisperer"!
