I cannot speak highly enough of my 1968 copy of this Book about this absolutely marvellous Insect; the Honey Bee
I saw it at an Op shop for $1 and had no interest in bees at the time.
As I started
reading it, I grew more and more gob-smacked by the attributes of this incredible little Gift to Mankind; within a week I was ordering all manner of paraphernalia to start my own hives in the SE suburbs of Melbourne Australia
Love for this new-found hobby has rewarded my family with a constant crop of BEAUTIFUL HONEY which gets tested by the Dep of Agriculture to ensure its integrity in line with Health Dep Protocols.
The intricate details in this Book must have been a Painstaking effort of mammoth proportions, and were it in my power, I would award the Author some sort of Prestigious Award and Medal.
I went back to the Op Shop and handed them another $20 and advised them to research their goods to avoid under-pricing!
I can only assume that the latest edition will provide the up-to-date discoveries and facts not known when mine went to print.
In my humble opinion, I DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR ALL AGES, regardless of Interest or Intention
