Popular account in Danish of the Danske Konebaads Expedition of 1883-1885 which explored the east coast of Greenland from Nanortalik to Angmagssalik, using 'women's boats' or umiaks, under the command of Gustav Holm, who made extensive collections of ethnographic objects and wrote a well-known treatise "Ethnological sketch of the Angmagssalik Eskimo". The expedition reached King Christian IX's Land, guided by the Eskimo Angmagainak.
