Homer Taylor was not born in Scotland. The Taylor family is among the original New England settlers, direct descendants of William Brewster, religious leaders to the Mayflower in Plymouth Rock.

The book is a wonderful collection of genealogy that for my family is a treasure. Unfortunately, some of the facts are not correct. Foster Rexstrew's son, Hiram Jefferson Rexstrew, did not die in infancy as this author states. He lived to the ripe old age of 84 and is buried in Watertown Township Cemetery, Fostoria,Tuscola Co., Michigan. He was even in the Knox Starke County Republican Jan 1911 after he had an accident and crushed his skull. So, everyone's research should be gone over and not believed true just because it is there.
