About the author (2008)

Mari Schuh has written more than 100 nonfiction books for children, covering a wide range of science and social studies topics. She has written numerous articles for daily newspapers and has presented at the West Virginia Book Festival. Mari enjoys visiting the amazing two-story butterfly room at the Milwaukee Public Museum. She also recently spotted a praying mantis for the first time. Mari lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Joe, and their house rabbit, Kindle.
