In Just Being Audrey, Margaret Cardillo relates the interesting twists and turns in the life of Audrey Hepburn. The book begins by showing Hepburn as a young girl who hid during WWII and ends with her as the famous actress and humanitarian most of us remember her as today. The contemporary illustrations augment the text by highlighting the whimsical and sometimes terrible aspects of Hepburn's life that led her to become an advocate for children all over the world.
