Read aloud to the boys in the car. Good concept (reimagining the origin of Peter Pan) but poor execution. EXCEEDINGLY repetitive and with a limited vocabulary - the word 'said' is on each page a dozen times if it appears once. Would have worked better at half the length. Read full review

Black Stache hurdles into the boat that he has just seized. His men had captured everybody on the vessel including the big man who had needed six of Stache’s men to take him down. A woman was crying in the back of the boat for the girl who just leaped off. Stache doesn’t know why she did it? He was curious. He heard gasps of all the passengers on the boat. “What are all of you glaring at at!? Stache screamed. He looked up of a jaw dropping scene of a boy flying… Stache looked towards his men who were continuously staring at the boy. Stache and Slank both yelled “Get him!’. Peter has a pretty horrid life right now, but that’s all about to change. Peter and his crew take a journey that will be perilous, thrilling, and an experience of a lifetime. Peter has somehow intertwined with a long dramatic battle between the starCatchers and the people who seek to misuse the power for their selfish needs. To start with, this book was perilous because of the countless battles Peter must face in order to live and make sure his mates and friends lives to see tomorrow’s daylight. In addition, it was thrilling because every step was another dramatic experience from countless characters perspectives on the island. Furthermore, Peter and the StarCatchers was “an experience of a lifetime because Peter gets to see a magic trunk, pirates, Indians, monsters and live to tell about it. Peter and The StarCatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson focuses on friendship as the key element needed even in the most rough spots in your life. This is Elijah from the Piano Keys.
