About the author (1996)

Gail Brown ranks as one of the most widely read sewing journalists. She is author of thirteen sewing books and writes articles for several publications, including Woman's Day Specials, The Singer Sewing Library, and Sew News. Gail is also often seen on PBS's Sewing With Nancy, HGTV's Sew Perfect, and Nancy's Notions Ltd. videos. She resides in Hoquiam, Washington.Mary Mulari, always an avid sewer, found her niche designing appliques, writing creative sewing books, and teaching. She is author of Mary Mulari Appliques With Style and several other sewing books, two of which were chosen as finalists in Craftrends magazine's PCM Award of Excellence competition for new books, and one that won the award in 1995. Mary also appears as a frequent guest on the PBS television program Sewing with Nancy. She lives in Aurora, Minnesota.
