These days it seems everyone has a home page. The reality is that of the millions of Web pages only a relative handful actually attract a steady readership. What can you do when you build a Web site that no one visits? What can you do to earn money instead of lose money on your Web site? Is there an easy way to gain readers and advertisers without spending a fortune? Fortunately, there are ways to attract readers and advertisers to your Web site without spending a dime and Increase Your Web Traffic in a Weekend is the only book to show you how.

This book provides the following:
-- A Friday night preview of what is ahead for the Weekend, including an overview of how to promote a Web site to readers and advertisers.
-- A fast-and-easy one-day session designed to help readers understand who is currently visiting their Web site; how to track and analyze site stats; and how to put those stats to work.
-- A hands-on session for promoting, publicizing and marketing the site; covered in the second day.

This book will teach readers how to promote their Web site to readers and advertisers using tasks that can be accomplished in a weekend.

Thousands of Web publishers have created Web sites to sell products and services, or simply to share ideas. Often, they are disappointed with the results they've achieved through Web publishing. They create wonderful pages yet get only a few visitors. These publishers may think their ideas, interests and products aren't interesting but nothing could be further from the truth. With nearly 50 million Web users from dozens of countries around the world, the Web has an extremely diverse audience, yet trying to tap into the tremendous potential of the Web can be a daunting task.

Using the tasks explored in this book, readers will be able to attract a following to their Web site; gain an audience for their ideas; and promote their Web site to the world.

The CD contains author's samples, page templates and other examples that will help the reader implement all of the book's tasks in a single weekend. Web tools such as Paint Shop Pro, Mapedit, Web Whacker, GIFWeb, Banner*Show, HTML Assistant.
