This is the remarkable life story of Dr. Dallas Billington, founder and pastor of the Baptist Temple in Akron, Ohio. Born in Kentucky, Dr. Billington came to Akron early in life and in 1935 founded the Akron Baptist Temple. There were eighty charter members. Today the Temple has close to 16,000 members, claims the world's largest Baptist congregation. In 1960 when the Temple celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary, 50,000 people came to Akron to hear Dr. Billington preach.
