The first half of the book is simply amazing, it's like a magnet and I just can't get off of it. Then the middle is a bit boring(just a ting little bit, compared to the first half). But after the part that Aslan came back to life and they had won victory, it becomes amazing again! I especially like the turn of phrase "the feeling you have when you wake up in the morning and realize that it is the beginning of the holidays or the beginning of summer". The first thing I remembered deeply about this book is that it is very silly to shut yourself into any wardrobe! Every time I read anything about Mr. Tumnus, I picture James McAvoy's cute pink-ish face and his adorable look:) [April, 2012]

This book would be good for higher elementary students and older. This book is about four siblings that end up with a relative during the time of war and they stumble upon a magical world through a wardrobe. Would work with a fantasy or fairy tale unit. Read full review

The theme of this book is childhood (to never grow up). The quote I liked in the book is "And so for a time it looked as if all the adventures were coming to an end; but that was not to be." What i ... Read full review
