Magic Words: Words with Special Meanings

Magic Words is a potpourri of old sayings and new sayings with a twist. The book is not age or gender specific. It can be used in many ways-as a teaching and/or counseling tool or simply an icebreaker. Additionally, special need students may find it particularly inviting as it puts a positive spin on some disabilities. This, coupled with its easy vocabulary, high interest and fun concepts, makes it an excellent gift for those who recognize and appreciate the inner child in all of us.

The book is an excellent combination of humor both, graphically and in written form. Unfortunately, it's my understanding the book has been translated into several languages without the author's permission. Also since 2006 when the book was published, she has only received one royalty check for $.88 cent. It is my understanding the publishing company Authorhouse has behaved like this with many other authors. Additionally, she has 2 other books about to be published "Mama Use To Say" and Magic Words for Grown Folks. The author is a retired special education teacher. She is slated to go to her deceased husband (Baboucar Njie) African town, "Gambia" in July her birthday month!
