Marvelosissimo is a Magician in a hot air balloon traveling through time explaining the development of standard units of measure. He makes measuring look simple and fun; calculating length, height, weight, and volume using the metric system.
Great read-aloud for younger students learning about measurement. Students can look around their classroom and/or bring in random things to measure with and do comparison. Have students explain why they feel these objects would work (or not), are they good objects to measure with.
