Review: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the NightTime

Editorial Review -

Christopher John Francis Boone is a fifteenyearold autistic savant obsessed with Sherlock Holmes. He knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and every prime number up to 7,057. He relates well to animals but has no understanding of human emotions. He cannot stand to be touched. And he detests the color yellow. My friend was reading this book and he let me borrow it-- I loved it! Christopher is an extremely charming and unique character. The way it is narrated is strange, but in a good way. He's very different than what we usually classify as 'normal'. You wonder about this boy, and what he's thinking, and what planning on doing next. Definitely an unforgettable character and novel!

A truly wonderful story that fills [the reader] with intrigue and many questions. His story also offers a great point-of-view for a teen-aged boy with autism, despite some structural flaws. Not to mention, some maths equations that even I couldn't figure out! 7.5/10

I was given this book by one of my mums best friends, I have just finished reading the book today, and It was fantastic. It was the first book I ever read, and it was a great story, I read it in under 48 hours, and It was quite an achievement for me, since I had never read a book before, and because I read it so fast. This book stunned me, with a passion to want to read a million books with in my life time. Thank you Mark Haddon, for bringing me into the life of a book.
