The purpose of this study is to assess the construction cost for redesign of new buildings and renovations of existing buildings to be in conformance with the proposed ANSI A117.1 (1978), Specifications for Making Buildings and Facilities Accessible to and Usable by Physically Handicapped people. While every accurate costs, the costs represented here are only approximations of actual construction costs, including labor, materials, delivery costs and profit margins.
