One of the first books to examine the serious problem of prescription drug abuse, addiction, and recovery. This book offers both support for the chemically dependent and eye-opening revelations for general readers (12 of the 20 most-abused drugs are prescription drugs). The book balances compelling anecdotes of recovery with insightful reports from experts on addiction, pharmacy, fraud investigation, consumer education, and policy making.
