About the author (1995)

John Lynch is a sixth generation native of Fayette County, Georgia. He is a life member of the Fayette County Historical Society, charter member of General Lafayette McLaws Camp of Sons of Confederate Veterans, charter member of General Marquis de Lafayette Chapter Sons of the American Revolution, and member of the Military Order of Stars and Bars. He is the Official Historian for the City of Fayetteville, Georgia, and former manager of the Holliday-Dorsey- Fife Museum there. He is a longtime collector of Civil War memorabilia. He is a contributing writer of the History of Fayette County, Georgia 1821-1971, and the Fayette County Heritage Book. This is is second book.
