Green Dolphin Street: A Novel"The time [of this novel] is 1830--the place, the little city of Saint Pierre on the largest of the Channel Islands. The main characters are Sophie and Octavius Le Patourel, parents of the heroines--Marianne ... and Marguerite ... both in love with handsome William Ozanne, whose father Sophie had loved in her youth. In addition, there is a revealing picture of pioneer life in New Zealand." Huntting. |

Review: Green Dolphin Street
User Review - Rachel - GoodreadsThis book sort of traumatized me when I tried reading it as a young teen. It didn't turn out "right". Rereading it as an adult, I saw that it turned out right. Goudge shows well the transformation wrought by moral and Christian integrity. Read full review
