Daisaku Ikeda eloquently portrays the history of his mentor (Josei Toda)'s campaign to widely propagate the teachings of the Soka Gakkai, a lay Buddhist organization dedicated to promoting widespread peace through the practice of Nichiren Buddhism. Ikeda does not disappoint in this classic series as his explicit syntax lures the reader in to the world of post-war Japan. 5 out of 5 bar none.
