About the author (2007)

Jeremy Nicholas is the author of three highly praised reference works on classical music and biographer of the pianist-composer Leopold Godowsky. He writes extensively for Gramophone, BBC Music Magazine, Classic FM Magazine and International Piano. He has composed music for stage and television productions, and many of his instrumental pieces and humorous songs have been published and recorded. In his capacity as an actor and broadcaster, he is an Olivier Award nominee and the recipient of a coveted Sony Gold Award. He has made numerous spoken-word recordings, including several for Naxos. In his spare time he runs a church choir and is President of the Jerome K. Jerome Society.
