If you have ever been approached by the Hare Krishna devotees in the street or in an airport, they will usually give you this book after they ask you for a donation.
As most people would know, the
Hare Krishnas are very strict vegetarians and they are keen on getting this philosophy of life out to the mainstream regardless of whether what religion or faith you belong to (or lack of it thereof).
Vegetarianism is becoming a lot more of a hot topic with the growing concern about environmental matters, and this book is the perfect introduction to the philosophy of it as well as some delicious recipes - being a vegetarian is certainly not all about eating tofu and vitamin pills as the recipes show. It is important however that if you are considering becoming vegetarian you need to consume vitamin C with your meals as well as get plenty of iron and Vitamin B-12. This book is a must read for everyone, whether you dislike animal cruelty or want to live a healthier life or understand the spiritual world a bit more.
