I read this for a second time in 2012 before donating to the church library. The book was written almost 20 years ago and all of the information is still relevant. Mr DeWitt has a solid science background and his "Seven Provisions for Creation" dovetail nicely with eco-system services (the definitions were formalized by the United Nations in 2005 according to Wikipedia). Clearly he was ahead of the crowd in articulating science in biblical terms. Those in the church will find his biblical message on track with all main-line churches, but be prepared for a challenge. After reading this study, Christians may want to practise some old fashioned humility and repentance. But he does not leave us there. The ultimate message is one of hope. When you finish this bible study, you too will be singing the doxology.
