George Beahm is a former U.S. Army major and expert on NBC warfare who instructed hundreds of soldiers about surviving in an environment contaminated by nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons. He lives in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Anthony McElligott is Professor of History and Director of the Centre for Historical Research, University of Limerick.
Tim Kirk is Lecturer in European History at the University of Newcastle.
