About the author (1996)

Photojournalist Paolo Novaresio has dedicated the past twenty years to world travel; after extensive trips throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Nepal, he now devotes his time entirely to Africa. He writes for many newspapers and magazines on the history and civilizations of Africa and is the author of several books, including Men Towards the Unknown and Sahara.
