About the author (1984)

Sam Allen founded the Deacons of Deadwood Motorcycle Club in 2002. Sam rides over 20,000 miles a year, and has ridden his bike through all of the 48 contiguous states and from coast to coast across Canada. He has made over ten Iron Butt Association rides, and once completed two 1,500 mike rides in under 24 hours in one month. Sam wrote The Motorcycle Party Guide to Route 66. He also operates Route66mc.com, which is the most complete source of information about Route 66 available on the Web.
