This book is unnecessarily long and dragging with hollow characters. The story is so predictable and the author fills the pages more with the character's thoughts rather than actions or conversations.The plot 's not lost even if you skip 4-5 pages in between and continue. In all fairness, I'd probably give this a 3.5. I wanted to like it but it fell short for me. Little things like repetitive phrases (slathering butter) and the use of explanation points drove me nuts, and it was longer than I feel like it needed to be. Didn't love, but still wanted to finish.
