Describes their life's work in assisting women suffering from fistulae, the effects of obstructed labour. Hamlin has been made a Companion of the Order of Australia and was awarded the ANZAC Peace Prize and the Gold Medal from the Royal College of Surgeons. She was nominated for the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize. Includes full-colour and black-and-white photos.
