Nude in WinterPoetry. Here the intertwined lives of painter and painted are presented in a wide-ranging collection of poems. These urgent, provocative poems depict artists and images so vividly that they draw us to them and demand our participation. A native of the north woods of Minnesota, Francine Sterle attended Oxford University as an undergraduate and holds a B.S. and a master's degree from Bemidji State University, as well as an MFA from Warren Wilson College. Her first book, EVERY BIRD IS ONE BIRD, won the Tupelo Press Editors' Prize in 2001. |
