Mel Bay Presents Andrés Segovia, as I Knew Him
Stemming from Duarte's personal contact with Andres Segovia through 39 years of friendship, this book contains an account of Duarte's experiences and impressions of Segovia with minimal reference to external sources. Segovia is one of those towering figures in the history of the classic guitar, whose influence is comparable to that of Fernando Sor, Antonio Torres, Francisco Tarrega, and Albert Augustine, all of whom radically changed the course of the instrument's history.
