Although I haven't finished this volume, it seems I must offer the accolades and praise I feel it deserves. Humorous with wry wit, packed with little known tid-bits about some quite unusual varieties of common garden plants, his glorious illustrations seem both styled like antiquities and yet appear fresh and current.
I want to go right out and find seeds to begin my own in person appreciation of these unique garden vegetables. Lead on...
