I expected a little more story line and a little less definition, so I was not as entertained as I thought I would be. Butler did make a lot of interesting points, and some of them were very original in his time. I also appreciate the satire of the British Empire of that time period. Read full review

About the author (2006)

Butler was a writer, painter, and musician. He studied at Cambridge and then became a sheep farmer. He is best known for his biographical novel titled The Way of All Flesh.
