Back in 1922 George Raymond, Sr. bought the machine shop in a country town where his son would grow up, and built the little establishment into a factory that would become famous as The Raymond Corporation. George, Jr. watched his honored father run that plant with a velvet fist and keep the town afloat through the great depression, as many grateful neighbors said.

Raymond spent his career at The Raymond Corporation, premier manufacturer of forklifts, conveyors and other material handling equipment. He divides his time between Naples, Florida and Nantucket, Massachusetts.
