The Allen Family of England, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Texas, and Illinois, 1600-1995: The Descendants of Captain William Allen and His Wives, Hannah Watson and Mary Hunt MingeChiefly a record of some of the descendants of William Allen. He was born ca. 1692 in York County, Virginia. He married first Hannah Watson. She died 22 Mary 1719/20. They were the parents of four children. He married second ca. 1721 to Mary Hunt Minge, widow of Robert Minge, daughter of William Hunt and Tabitha Underwood Bowler. Mary was born 15 May 1695. William died Sept 1752. He and Mary were the parents of nine children. Mary remarried 31 Oct 1753 to Field Jefferson. She died 8 Mar 1763. Descendants lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and elsewhere. |
