This is one of Ann Rule's best books. It is a true story, not fictionalized, of a deeply disturbed woman who kills her children. As always it is meticulously researched. It was made into a TV movie with Farrah Fawcett playing Diane, one of her best acting roles. Read full review

About the author (1988)

Ann Rule has drawn on her experience as a former policewoman to become one of America's top true-crime writers. The author of over 1,000 articles and numerous books, she has lectured widely to law-enforcement schools and agencies.
