Review: The Histories

User Review  - Witek - Goodreads

It's an amazing example of ancient history writing. It is too bad that only a part of this great work has survived to this day, for Tacitus' style of writing is exhilarating. If you love history and/or have a passion for ancient Rome you simply must read it! Read full review

Interesting but very dense contemporary history of the upheaval, civil war, and self proclaimed emperors that followed on the heels of Nero's death. Read full review
