Simply the best of Alistair MacLean's many excellent (and some not-so-excellent) thrillers. Plenty of action, unforgettable characters, top-notch writing, and a thoughtful look at Cold War tensions. The only book to rank a perfect 10 stars at my site Please stop by there to see reviews of all his novels and many of the films based on them.
