About the author (2012)

DR. ADAM BURKE is a research psychologist, acupuncturist, and educator. He received advanced degrees in public health and psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has also studied traditional Chinese medicine in San Francisco and in Sichuan, China. He is currently a professor of holistic health studies at San Francisco State University, where he teaches and conducts research on Eastern healing practices. Dr. Burke lectures and consults internationally on the use of hypnosis and imagery for healing and enhancing human potential.
