About the author (1995)

Ken McMurtry was born in Oklahoma. He attended colleges in California,

Iowa, and Vermont. He has an MFA in Fiction Writing and is a licensed

psychologist. Ken has written several young adult adventure novels and

two books of nonfiction. While working on a Choose Your Own Adventure series called Passport, he lived with his wife and three children in Spain, Greece, and

Italy. When not imagining exciting adventures, Ken loves to read, cook,

watch sporting events, take power naps, and drink coffee. He now lives,

with his wife Polly and an assortment of animals, in an old schoolhouse in
