This book has left out one woman of importance, Septima Clark, who help to establish the adult education program for blacks in South Carolina. She also served as secretary of the NAACP with Martin Luther King before he became famous. She was an educator and civil rights activist. Her legacy deserves to be included in this important biography of Notable Black Woman.
